Alamogordo

On the Western edge of the Sacramento Mountains, Alamogordo is at 4500 feet but the mountains have an elevation of 9645 feet at Cathey Peak. The group will bike about 65 miles today. Temps should be mild but of course cooling as they climb. They do not bike to the peak, but this road has a 7% grade in places and will be steep. The forecast is cloudy with 37% humidity. Larry called around 7 EST and said that the group did well. He did just fine and is starting to feel more comfortable on the bike. He said that the first week everything hurt and he had doubys about the ride. But the last two days, he has had a great pace. The group has bonded.

By the way, Beau, the lady that broke her arm, is 71 years young!!!!
